The Thames River in southern Ontario, Canada offers anglers 260 km of fishable water that runs from Woodstock, London and Chatham to Lake St Clair. Anglers targeting walleye and bass can fish from shore or from boat in numerous locations along the entire length of the river. While the river is host to many fish species, the vast majority of anglers target walleye and smallmouth bass and use a variety of soft plastic baits and live bait. In the last decade, like many waterbodies across Ontario, the Thames river is now full of round goby and this invasive species has become an important food source for walleye and bass (see Goby Facts ). That's why we've creatred the THAMES RIVER WALLEYE SLAM PACK - a group of our top baits used by anglers on the Thames River to catch both Walleye and Smallmouth bass. The main bait is our popular GOLIATH SWIM-Goby, a bait that has the profile of a round goby with proven color patterns preferred by walleye and bass. Used with our 1/4 oz Ned G-Jig, these are the perfect baits when casting from shore, or jigging from a boat.
